Botanical description
Thorny, deciduous tree (without leaves from December to May), can reach up to about 8 meters in height, usually 3 or 4 meters, of woody trunk.

Its seeds are bright reddish-brown lenticulars 4 millimeters long, 3.2 millimeters wide and 1.5 millimeters high.
