Botanical description
The Tsunu tree is a tall tree with beautiful purple flowers that belongs to the Fabaceae family, which grows in the Amazon rainforest. It has a strong woody root system that can reach up to 30 meters long. Is known for its strong healing properties and has been used by indigenous peoples for centuries to produce various medicines.
Is often confused with the Pau Pereira tree. They are not the same plants, but you can call them that. Plants with comparable properties have the same name in different regions and tribes.
Platycyamus regnellii is a herbaceous, perennial, aromatic and robust plant that is propagated by cuttings and belongs to the grass family.
Flowers gather in spikelets of 30-60 cm in length forming clusters.
Laves are very aromatic and elongated like slats, rough, light green that sprout from the ground forming dense bushes.
Flowers are grouped in spikes and look bent just like the leaves.
