Botanical description

Growing in the drained soils of subtropical heights, the radiata eucalyptus has a bluish-gray trunk, deciduous bark, rounded young leaves and lanceolate adult leaves. Australian Aborigines use the fresh leaves to bandage the sores.

  • Oxides : 1,8 cineole (6272%), caryophyllene oxide
  • Mono terpenes (up to 24%): a&b-pinene (<12%), 1-limonene (<8%), myrcene, p-cymene
  • Alcohols (<19%): a- terpinol (14%), geraniol, borneol, linalool
  • Aldehiclos (8%): mirtenal, citronellal, geranial, neral.

Methods of use


It can be applied pure (undiluted), or diluted 1:1 (1 drop of essential oil to at least 1 drop of base carrier oil) for children and for those with sensitive skin when used topically.

Precautions with Eucalyptus


First, do not use during the first three months of pregnancy.

The essential oil of eucalyptus radiata is very well tolerated by the skin, in some cases it can be used pure from 12 years. For children from 3 months to 11 years will preferably be used diluted with the same amount of vegetable oil.
