Botanical name : Tanacetum annuum

Family : Asteraceae

Plant/Part : Flowers/Buds

Extraction : it is distilled by steam dragging of the leaves and flowers.

Habitat: Originated in Europe and Asia. It is found in grasslands on generally clay soils. Very common in the Mediterranean Region (Portugal, Spain, France and Morocco).


Botanical description

Tanacetum: generic name derived from the medieval Latin “tanazita” which in turn comes from the Greek “athanasia” (= immortal, long-term), which probably indicates the long duration of the inflorescence of this plant, in other texts refers to the belief that drinks based on the leaves of this plant confers eternal life.

Methods of use

How:

Spread it to elevate the mood and create a positive atmosphere.

Add 1 drop to 1 or 2 ounces of favorite moisturizer or cleanser, and also apply it topically to reduce the appearance of blemishes or soothe skin irritation.

Add 1 or 2 drops to the cream to give a restorative massage after a stressful day or extreme exercise.

Diffusion: Use 1 to 2 drops in your favorite diffuser.

Topical use: Apply 1 to 2 drops to the desired area. Dilute with vegetable oil to minimize skin sensitivity.


Precautions with Blue Tansy

How:
